lyrics

a wonderful nickel creek song that displays EXACTLY how i feel right now:

Somebody more like you

I didn't hear you say you're sorry
The fault must be mine
I wish you all the best of luck
At finding somebody more like you

You said you'd love me always, truly
I must have changed
Cause you don't need me like you used to
I hope you find somebody more like you

I hope you finally find someone
Someone that you trust
And give her everything
I hope you meet someone your height
So you can see eye-to-eye
With someone as small as you

You came out of nowhere, made me smile
Then tore me in two
Saying, "We're very different people"
So dear, I hope you find somebody more like you

I hope you find somebody more like you

booyah.........that feels better.

today

In summary, today was a good day. Tonight, however was kind of a bummer...i was bored like crazy and it seemed like EVERYONE ELSE was terribly busy, which kind of made me feel like a loser. I know it will be alot more hectic for me once my job starts...i'm counting the days. I am definitely painting tomorrow so if anybody wants to help, even if it's just sitting in my room to talk to me while i paint, i'd surely appreciate it. Anyway,

Prescott out

I found..

Found this card from dad in my old room at home. Just when i thought he was gone, he still sends me encouragement when i need him the most.
The card is (I assume) from when I went on choir tour one year. It reads:
Hope you are having a good time. We miss you and love you. Try to have a stress free trip. Keep your head in the game and the stress will be minimal. In other words, Do what you know and know what you do!Have a good trip and enjoy the music. - Dad
This made my week :)

My new bed

I slept better last night than i have in years. Was it because of the new comforter or the comfort i received yesterday by being with the people that fill my heart with gladness?

what does your blog title mean?

Well my friends, it is a quote from Clara Barton, the nurse that began the American Red Cross. In laymen's terms, it means...whatever has "usually been done" or is the "societal norm" , I'm gonna do the exact opposite. I think it is a good motto for my life right now:

1. I don't have to react to a break-up the way everyone thinks that I should.
2. I'm moving back home with my mom, it doesn't have to be a bad thing, in fact its the best thing that has happened to me in a long time.
3. In my nursing practice, I will pledge to not just do the minimum ... and to have evidence for everything I do.

I firmly believe that God has great things coming my way, and I can NOT WAIT to find them!
